VBA or Visual Basic for Applications is programming language developed by Microsoft. It is closely related to Visual Basic (another Microsoft programming language). VBA can be used to automate Excel and also the other applications in the Microsoft Office suite.
VBA is very powerful and at the same time quite simple to use. As a result, is very widely used.
Programmers and business users widely use it to create automated procedures which can be run in Excel. Microsoft Excel has a built-in Visual Basic Editor which you can use to write, execute and test your VBA code.
An example of VBA is shown below. This is just a simple example to show the code that can be used to open a file.
Workbooks.Open Filename:= _ "C:\FolderName\FileName.xlsx"
This is just a simple overview of VBA. Do you have any suggestions to help explain it ? Please comment below if you do.
